Walk to School Day was a success for Mrs. Mosley and Mrs. Houghton’s 4K class! Walking and spending time outdoors is so good for our little learners! It helps improve focus, builds strength and coordination, boosts mood and reduces stress, and gives students an opportunity to practice social skills and build friendships. What a fun way to start our school day!

Mrs. Loop’s class and First Grade had an absolute blast at Strawberry Hill USA Farm. Students played a lot and learned even more as they toured the farm.  After playing at the wide variety of activities, classes gathered for a pumpkin life cycle lesson and scouted the pumpkin patch for a hand-picked souvenir. Students could hardly wait to write about the fun they had on their field trip. Happy Fall, Y’all!

🎉🐼 PERFECT SCORES = PANDA PROUD! 🐼🎉

We are SO excited to celebrate our amazing SRE students who earned a PERFECT SCORE on the SC READY assessment! 🌟💯

This incredible accomplishment represents hard work, determination, and a commitment to doing their very best. We are beyond proud of these students and the teachers and families who supported them along the way!

❤️🖤🤍 Way to go, Pandas! You make Sugar Ridge proud! 🐼

Ms. Burnett’s first grade class had a great time at Strawberry Hill. We fed the cows, played hard, learned about pumpkins, and ate ice cream. We had so much fun 😊

Mrs. Records’ class had the best time at Strawberry Hill. They fed cows, saw animals, played, learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin, and even got to take their own pumpkin from the patch home! Happy Fall!

Last week we got to celebrate the amazing custodians who work hard behind the scenes to keep Sugar Ridge Elementary clean, safe, welcoming, and shining bright! ❤️ Thank you for all you do for our students and staff each and every day.

This week in PE we were honing our throwing skills. Students demonstrated proper throwing technique while playing some super fun games like: Castle Ball and Yard of the Month.

Mrs. Weber’s class has been doing several inquiry activities to learn more about how energy is transferred and transformed.

📢PTO SHOUTOUT!!!📢

Mark your calendars!!!!

Ms Russell and Mrs Holder's class have been learning about apples. The students tried red, yellow, and green apples and used their senses to explore each one. The students picked their favorite apple and made a graph to see which apple was a class favorite. Red was the popular flavor. 🍎

September Math Masters

Lots of fun things are happening in Ms. Stephens' art room. 4th graders are currently working hard on creating their own design to turn into a radial pattern. Their designs are incredible! 2nd and 3rd graders have been learning about color schemes and are using analogous colors to create a fall themed artwork. They have done an amazing job with chalk pastels!🍁

🏈🐼 Bulldogs + Pandas = the perfect team! ❤️🖤 A BIG thank you to the Boiling Springs High School football players for helping open car doors and welcome our littlest Pandas in 4K and 5K! We loved starting the day with these awesome role models! ❤️🏈

Mrs. Brooks’ fifth graders enjoyed a hands on science experiment exploring the states of matter! Through a fun activity, students observed how a substance can behave as both a solid and a liquid. Students made connections between what they see and what they’ve learned in class about the characteristics of a solid, liquid, and gas. What a fun way to bring science to life and deepen their understanding of the states of matter!

We love learning in Mrs. Verdell and Mrs. Miller’s class!
