Thank you!

Your support for our referendum speaks volumes about the value you place in our community’s children. In passing these measures, you have said clearly that you believe in the important work that our D2 Team does each day to bring out the full potential in the more than 12,000 students we serve.

We will continue to work tirelessly to honor the faith you have placed in us.

In the coming weeks, we will be diligent in providing you with updates and communications about the progress of our building projects. We are so excited to see this vision for our D2 Community come to life!

SRE students were lucky ducks on Thursday, Oct. 29.....it was our first surprise attendance day and students were so excited!!! Every student received their own red ribbon week duck and an attendance day punch card. We can't wait for our next surprise attendance day in November!

Sugar Ridge’s Super Mario–themed Penny Wars is coming November 16–20! Each grade is its own team—who will take the win? 🏆

💰 Pennies add points to your grade’s score!

🪙 Silver coins and bills subtract points from another grade’s score!

Parents, help your students get ready by sorting coins at home! Ziplock bags will be sent home the week of November 9 to make sorting easy.

🍕 The winning grade will celebrate with a pizza, PJ, and popsicle party! Its teachers will also enjoy coffee and a pastry from Crossroads! ☕🥐

🐼 Everyone wins! Proceeds help us work toward a new roadside digital sign for our school.

Red Ribbon Week Fun ❤️

🎶Congratulations to our students who were selected for the South Carolina Elementary Honor Choir. These students will perform at the SCMEA Conference in February under the direction of Elizabeth Núñez, a conductor, clinician, and Associate Artistic Director of the award-winning Young People’s Chorus of New York City. Way to go, Pandas! 🎶

🎵Students in Mrs. Hipps' 4th grade music class have had fun learning about improvisation and creating their own music. Students got to work in groups to create chants, melodies, and rhythm patterns to perform for each other. 🎵

Pink Out Day!

Mrs. Brose's class had fun learning about abstract nouns this week. First, we worked together to create a list of abstract and concrete nouns. Then, we played a stand up/sit down game to practice and review!

Mrs. Calderone’s students are falling for learning while raking in the writing practice! Our writing skills are growing!

Mrs. Howle’s class had a wonderful time celebrating the 50th day of school. They learned about life from then and how it is different from life now. Students snacked their way to the 50th day by counting by 5s! It is hard to believe 50 days of school have already passed.
