Our Sugar Ridge students had a wonderful time celebrating Goodies for Grands with some very special people! ❤️🐼 Sweet treats, big smiles, and even sweeter memories made the day extra special. We are so thankful for our amazing SRE families! ❤️🖤
📚 Mrs. Jennings’ first graders read Whose Hands Are These? and learned about different careers and informational texts! They picked a career and drew the hands of that worker. Then, they let their classmates guess! 👮♀️🧑🌾👨🏫🧑🚒

Fall 2026 Book Fair at SRE!
The students in Mrs. Buxton’s class have been working hard and having so much fun learning to write sentences! We are so proud of the effort, creativity, and progress they are showing each day!
Ms. Miller’s class is building character one LEGO brick at a time! 🧱✨ Students learned about character traits and built their own LEGO creations to show what makes them uniquely them! 💛
Last week in Ms. Pittman and Mrs. Turner’s class, we have been learning different ways to show and make numbers 0-5. We explored our technology to practice writing numbers and used fine motor skills to practice representing number amounts with pom poms. We had a blast learning all about ways to make numbers 🔢🩷

Students in Ms. Gladhill’s class made a multiplication sun craft! They also practiced place value and decomposing numbers!
After working hard all week, Mrs. Mosley and Mrs. Houghton’s 4K students celebrated with a BUBBLE PARTY! Students have been working hard on learning proper pencil grip, how to color in the lines, recognizing their name, counting, letters, and so much more!

Bring the family and enjoy music, games, and time with friends while you’re at Open House!
🌮 Come hungry! Food trucks will be on site with dinner, drinks, and treats available for purchase, with a portion of sales donated back to the SRE PTO. Families are also welcome to bring their own dinner and enjoy the picnic.

This week students in Ms. Davis’ class read the book “Every Family Has a Story” by Melissa Reynolds Smith. Students talked about what makes them and their families special and how we all fit together to make a complete puzzle. Each student created a puzzle piece to remind us all how we fit together perfectly!
What grade level with earn a special treat by collecting the most flamingos for being at school each day??
Ms. Gressette’s art class explored color mixing with paint. After reading the book “Mouse Paint” by Ellen Walsh, students experimented using their fingers as mice that danced in the colors just like the story. Mrs. Pearson’s class also drew mice to display with their work to share the story of their experience.
Ms. Loop’s first grade class had double the fun added to this last week. Our Boosterthon’s “Nitro Nicole” and “Raisin Bran Brandon” joined the class to work with math manipulatives, carefully count, and accurately explain or ‘prove it’ whenever they gave an answer. It was a super time practicing strategies to solve real-world problems as well as fast facts.

Our little learners are busy getting to know their school, learning classroom routines and procedures, discovering what it means to be a good friend, and, most importantly, having SO much fun along the way! 📚✨
