Students in Mrs. West’s class are already learning the importance of teamwork and communication! We worked in pairs to complete a 20-piece jigsaw puzzle. One student was blindfolded and the partner was in charge of providing clear directions on how to reconstruct the puzzle.

Mr. Weis’ classes participated in the Tower of Terror challenge where teams competed to pull index cards from between cups without the tower falling. Teams had three minutes to work together to stack as many cups as possible without the tower crashing. These fifth graders demonstrated great observational and communication skills to strategize the best methods to be successful.

Each group in Mrs. Pittinger’s third grade class discussed things that they have in common. They wrote all those things on cards. Then used those cards to build towers with strong foundations. We are going to have the best year ever!
Mrs. Hogans' students are building a Lego Maze and are going to test out moving a Marble through the maze.

🍎✨ Kindergarten is off to a GREAT start! ✨🍎
Mrs. Rodgers’ and Ms. Roberts’ classes each received a special piece of “Surprise Dough!” The students made a wish for a wonderful school year, and to their surprise, their dough changed colors! 🌈✨
It looks like our wishes came true—we are sure to have a FANTASTIC year! 💕📚

Ms. Wallace's class kicked off our first day of 2nd grade with some Jitter Juice.
After reading First Day Jitters, we talked about all the different feelings that can come with starting a new adventure.
Then, we put our math skills to work. We graphed, compared, and added up our graph data to see how our class was feeling on the first day of school. We enjoyed some juice and added our secret jitter remover to make those first-day jitters disappear!
Mrs. Herdinar and Mrs. Tolles’ class had a SUPER sweet first day of kindergarten! ❤️ Each student received a ball of white “Surprise Dough” and made a wish for a SUPER school year. As they squeezed and mixed the dough, a surprise color appeared! We are already off to a colorful and exciting start in kindergarten! ✨🐼 ✨
Mrs. Dixon & Mrs. Foster’s kindergartners enjoyed listening to the book “First Day Jitters” and enjoyed a cup of “Jitter Juice” to calm their nerves on their first day of school. Everyone talked about what they were excited to learn and had the best first day ever!💚
Mrs. Weber’s class enjoyed using Skittles as they worked on science skills the first day of school . They used their senses when answering questions and watched how a little warm water caused a beautiful change.
Mrs. Greene's second grade class spent some time this week working on setting individual goals for their year. Additionally, they enjoyed reading the book Our Class Is A Family and brainstorming ways they can be a class family this school year!
The first week of fifth grade was full of teamwork and creativity in Mrs. Brooks' class! Students worked together to design and build the tallest tower they could using spaghetti and marshmallows. They brainstormed, tested ideas, and learned the importance of communication, perseverance, and collaboration. What a fun way to kick off a year of learning and growing together!
On Friday, Mrs. Mitchell's second grade class worked on a special writing assignment all about their goals for the new school year! After sharing what they hope to achieve this year, the students celebrated completing their work with a fun surprise! We're so proud of our young writers for setting goals and working hard.
